It was Saturday afternoon and we had work to do.
There were four whites and six reds waiting for us. Ten bottles total. And 6 tasters. Of course, snacks were provided to keep the 'workers' happy and focused: two beautiful artisan cheeses, genoa salami and Milton's Multi-Grain crackers. Yummy.
So there we were, sitting on the upper deck of a beautiful boat in the Newport harbor, on a cloudless 70 degree day, working hard. Pouring wine. Tasting wine. Comparing wines. Cheese. Crackers. Salami.
My god, we were working hard! And we're glad to do it because, after all, someone has to - right?
I love my job.
