Notes from the Winemaker: Our acclaimed winemaker, Chris Dearden, describes it perfectly: "The 2008 Chanticleer Cabernet is opulent and intense and opens up to many layers with finesse not expected in a Napa Valley Cabernet. It possesses aromas of black cherries, Belgian dark chocolate and fresh plums. On the palate it has a decidedly black fruit flavor with overtones of cassis, Satsuma plum jam and roasted hazelnuts. Dense in color, the aroma and flavor are congruent and complimentary. Our 2008 Cabernet is going to be one for the ages."
