La Crema RR Chard 2011

Notes from the Winemaker: This wine is a true regional blend sourced from vineyards throughout the Russian River Valley. Given the overall cool conditions of this vintage, 2011 was the year for the relatively warmer vineyards near Chalk Hill to shine. They provided the rich, lush elements of baked pear and yellow apple which were balanced by the bright citrus and juicy acidity of the Santa Rosa bench vineyards. A variety of clones including Rued, 4 and Dijon added further complexity to the blend. Aromas of Bosc pear and ripe nectarine lead to a palate filled with zesty Meyer lemon, shortbread and creme brulee.
