Tasting Notes: Vineyards were fermented separately. 5-6 day cold soak with small sulphur addition. Indigenous yeast fermentation, no additions made. 12 day primary fermentation, 8 day maceration. Gently pressed into neutral barrels and 10% new french oak barrel. Malolactic fermentation in barrel, 14 month ageing.
2012 is said to have been a perfect year for California. Long, sunny days throughout the growing season and into harvest. This harvest translates into ripe fruit and simply- a lot of flavor. The wine has classic aromas of cola, cherry, raspberry. On the palate there is bright acidity, silky tannins, flavors of cherry and dried strawberry
