Cabernet Sauvignon Diamond Mountain District, Napa Valley 2008

This wine is inky with a great purple hue. Dark fruit and berry flavors predominate while there are hints of vanilla, cedar chest, and dried flowers in the aroma. The evident tannins, characteristic of the mountain environment where the fruit was grown, provide a chalkiness that results in a lingering finish, and in conjunction with the great acidity, will allow for an extended cellaring and years of enjoyment.
