Red Mare Cab 2013

Winemaker's Notes: In keeping with the signature Red Mare Wines style, our 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon opens with intense aromas of ripe red cherries, sappy notes of fresh bay and marjoram layered with rich warm cedar. The vintage story unfolds with the darker presence of black licorice, mocha and cocoa lifted by creamy vanilla and baking spices. The nose is rounded out with white tobacco and the slightly powdery, dusty notes of wet cement and dried loam. Ripe fruit flavors are actively carried through the palate with a core of freshness finishing with the firm, rich and ripe tannins that characterize 2013 and a lovely savory tactile persistence.
