Thacher Winery “Original Copy” 2013

Notes from the Winemaker: The second Bordelaise offering from Thacher. The bulk of this wine is sourced from neighbors at Brecon Estate, who acquired the old Norman Vineyards plantings, which date back to the 70’s. The blend’s Malbec contributes suppleness and roundness. The Cabernet is deceptively perfumed, herbaceous and tannic. Deep purple with crimson edges, cassis, black cherry, blueberry, pine needle, star anise, cinnamon and clove aromas. Black plum, blackcurrant, licorice flavors the tannins and bright fruit acidity. Drink now through 2025.
