Notes from the Winemaker: Our Red Wine is our tribute to Right Bank Bordeaux style red wine, such as from Pomerol. We blend from Napa Valley's finest Merlot vineyard; all of the fruit is handpicked, hand sorted, and the wine is handmade. One of the common traits of this wine is that it is approachable in its youth, but will cellar well for years of enjoyment. The wine is well balanced, has a beautiful aroma and layers of fruit flavor.
We use Merlot as the base wine, and then blend Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Petit Verdot to refine the wine. We only use new 100% French oak barrels. The wine is typically aged 16 to18 months in barrel and another 8 to 10 months in bottle before released.
