Karl Lawrence Morisoli Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2007

: Michael states that this Gary Morisoli bows down to nothing we have made in past vintages. The colors are solid and dense. Bold forward aromas of pure currants, black cherry and chocolate truffle predominate. The flavors are forward with rich black fruits. The wine has a big juicy richness that expands as it rests in your mouth. The wine is perfectly balanced with its natural acidy, supporting its long, rich and complex finish. In both the nose and in the mouth, layers upon layers continue unfolding, revealing more and more of this rich and complex Cabernet. Some of my friends have described this wine as refined and velvety. This one is more like a great Bordeaux/Pauillac, rather than a bold, decadent and forward California Cabernet.
